Group Coaching

What is Group Coaching?

Top performers in sports know the value of coaching – as have top executives. Group coaching provides a powerful and affordable way to improve the performance and skills of the leaders in your organization. We have solutions for emerging leaders as well as seasoned executives.

Why Invest in Group Coaching?

  • To break down walls and functional silos in order to  gain greater alignment with your overall vision and values
  • To generate greater momentum in achieving  your specific business objectives
  • To create an environment of trust where team members support and challenge each other to be their best
  • To build leadership skills and capability quickly, consistently and effectively
  • To foster open dialogue where everyone is held accountable
  • To achieve the results you and your organization wants and needs

What is our Coaching Philosophy?

We use group coaching with leaders across functions as a means to develop your new leaders’ capabilities, teamwork and results. In our sessions we will:

  • Do our work within the context of the organization’s vision, values and objectives
  • Focus on the real challenges your leaders face in the trenches – not theory
  • Use a strength based approach to bring everyone’s best talents and skills forward
  • Insist on and instill accountability – through planning, commitment, and follow up
  • Expand leadership capacity through content that is relevant and used in the context of achieving real results

What is the Group Coaching Methodology?

We follow a cycle of Learn ? Support ? Plan ? Commit ?Act ? Reflect ? Report.  Over time, these cycles become an ingrained way of working in every arena. Sessions are 4 hours per month and are pre-scheduled and committed to.  We bring 90 minutes of new content to each group session that enables your leaders to grow and develop. Included are many tools and techniques that are immediately useful. Content, unless adapted for your specific needs, will be introduced in this sequence:

General Guidelines

  • Excellent coaching requires a high degree of trust and comfort in working together. While this builds over time, sessions are structured so that early sessions focus on jump starting the establishment of trust and rapport.
  • Coaching is a commitment requiring scheduling meetings in advance, honoring those meetings and doing the preparation and follow on work for the sessions. While team members may have to miss a session on occasion, absences should be infrequent and due to compelling reasons.
  • Coaching sessions accommodate up to 15 members.
  • Sessions begin with reporting out, to the group, on the progress made on the commitments set in the prior session.  All work and commitments are aligned with significant and real business objectives.
  • Selecting the right coach is important. As such, we’ll assess fit after our first 3 sessions. If you determine I’m not a fit – we’ll make a change.
  • Overtime, our goal is that coaching happens every day in your organization from every member of your leadership team.
